Η κ. Ελισάβετ Βιντζηλαίου είναι Δρ. Πολιτικός Μηχανικός, Καθηγήτρια Ωπλισμένου Σκυρόδεματος και Κατασκευών από Τοιχοποιία, στο Εργαστήριο Ωπλισμένου Σκυροδέματος της Σχολής Πολιτικών Μηχανικών ΕΜΠ. Διδάσκει ή έχει διδάξει και/ή συντονίσει τα μαθήματα: i) Τεχνικά Υλικά 2ου εξ., ii) Σιδηροπαγές σκυρόδεμα 7ου εξ., iii) Κατασκευές από Ωπλισμένου Σκυρόδεμα 8ου εξ., iv) Εισαγωγή στη Γεφυροποιία 8ου εξ., v) Μηχανική της Τοιχοποιίας 9ου εξ.. Διδάσκει, επίσης, το μάθημα «Προχωρημένη Μηχανική της Τοιχοποιίας» στο Διατμηματικό Μεταπτυχιακό Πρόγραμμα «Δομοστατικός σχεδιασμός και ανάλυση κατασκευών» της Σχολής Πολιτικών Μηχανικών ΕΜΠ, καθώς και στο μάθημα «Τεχνικές διατήρησης και αποκατάστασης Ιστορικών Κατασκευών» στο Διατμηματικό Μεταπτυχιακό Πρόγραμμα «Προστασία Μνημείων», της Σχολής Αρχιτεκτόνων Μηχανικών ΕΜΠ.
Έχει μετάσχει/μετέχει σε 50 Ερευνητικά Προγράμματα (Εθνικά και Ευρωπαϊκά), ως κύρια Ερευνήτρια (σε 26 Ερευνητικά Προγράμματα) ή ως Επιστημονικός Συνεργάτης (σε 24 Ερευνητικά Προγράμματα).
